The plan decides where the catch is taken. Increases come in steps, and only if the science says yes.

Something every member can live with
CCAMLR decides by consensus, so both proposals need all 27 members. Some came to protect these waters, some came to fish them, and several do both. At the last meeting, in October 2025, neither proposal was agreed. Hobart is the second attempt.
No majority to win. 27 members who all have to say yes.
We have supported the protected area since 2022, and we want both proposals agreed.
